State Board CE instructions
- 10 hours of CE during each registration period
- No less than 2 hours (and not less than once every 6 years thereafter) on the topic of mental health conditions common to veterans and family members of veterans, including (A) determing whether a patient is a veteran or a family member of a veteran, (B) screening for conditions such as PTSD, risk of suicide, depression and grief, and (C) suicide prevention training.
- Not more than 5 continuing education units during each registration period shall be completed via the Internet, distance learning or home study.
- A licensee applying for license renewal for the first time shall be exempt from the continuing education requirements.
- Continuing education activities completed by a licensee in another state or country to meet the requirements of this section are acceptable.
- Aspira Continuing Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Aspira Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
